i have a $400k servicemembers group life insurance policy my brother gets in the event of my death. it's offered to all servicemembers. plus another $100k on top of that to pay for my funeral. :hsd:

there are certain rules, cant just take out a life policy on a random person... you have to have an "insurable interest" ... which is like, dependants, family members, business partner, etc etc etc

actually i looked at my paystub for work an i guess i do got life insurance, how much coverage i have no idea. it takes 50 cents out of my paycheck bi weekly

I use to have free life insurance through the company I worked for. Now i don't have any. I will though when I have kids.

Ya...about 3x as much.

I mean if I can commit an extra $100 a month...its just like putting that $100 into a savings acct, no?
