I don't plan on reloading any brass myself, is it likely that someone local might reload it for me (and is it usually worth it) or can I trade in a few boxes of brass for a fresh box?

I've been saving them, but I don't really know what I can do with them.

Oh, what would be a decent gun for shooting some .223? Found a big box of it behind some other stuff.

AR15 ... its the most logical choice

as for reloading ... well i do my own reloads and my gramps sells a ton of ammo and does alot of custom loads and discontinued ammo so i always keep brass and give to him at the least. personally i'm so used to the custom loads he gives me for my .270 i would never shoot with anything else, they out perform every off the shelf cartridge i ever tried.

and to boot the price of brass is through the roof right now, if you find a guy who does a lot of reloading then he might be willing to work a deal with you if you can bring him a decent amount of once fires or even brass thats clean.

:bowrofl: AR15. Well played.

Yea, I think I'd look to trade it for other ammo first. Only have 65 rounds,

But the guy who's gun it is, is a pretty cool guy and we'll probably go again. I'll definitely get the box at Walmart and have some good practice.

There was also a group of guys that was on the rage with us that were a little on the inconsiderate side. They'd walk up, unload a 15 round clip as fast as they could and then want to walk up and see it. Meanwhile 5 other people have 2-4 clips to go through and want to keep shooting. So even though I only did 10 rounds, it took forever.
grip with your strong hand as high as you can into the tang of the grip and flag your thumb all the way up
lock the wrist of your weak hand out, pointing your thumb straight forward
place the palm of your weakhand into the uncovered area of the grip

profit

quit looking at your target right after you pull the trigger. you're going to anticipate and mess up your shot.

you gotta follow through.. FOLLOW THROUGH

what he said.

keep your eyes on the front sight and always be ready for the next shot. even if you're only shooting one shot.
