360 ftw...especially with the Elite price drop at the end of the month. I have an elite and love it

Dude i have the x360, ps3 and the wii... I think my wii got more game time then my PS3. Littel big planet i was disapointed with... Kill zone 2 is awesome but as far as FPS Halo > *.

All the other games i tried on PS3 are available on x360. If i rent a game available on both consols i will take the version with the most bonus; I'm talking about the new batman... the PS3 version has better graphics and more game play but thats the only game i can think of.

IMO what you should base your decision on is what your friends have. The awesome thing about these "new gen" are about online gaming. yes online gaming with randoms is ok but online with real friends you hang out with of even the people here on HAN is awesome. Most of my friends have the X360 that mean the when i buy a new game with multi player i always get the X360 version.

Also the updates are annoying as fuck with the PS3. I do admit that the PS3 is a better multimedia device though.

 

when I got my ps3 I based my decision on the fact that God of War III was going to be a ps3 exclusive. also knowing that GT5 is coming out in the 4th quarter was a selling point for me. Its been confirmed by joystiq, and kotaku that its coming out 4th quarter FYI.
I've played the 360 and I just don't like the controlers and the way they fit in my hands, I like the feel of the ps3, and just the full package that sony offers over the 360. IMO the 360 has pretty much reached its max while devolpers have barely scratched the surface of the ps3.

 

just as an update, i ended up buying the PS3 slim

picked up RE5 for it as well. so far so good cant wait to actually go HD in a few weeks when i get a new TV, too. thanks for all the insight and help :thumbup:

i can't compare it to the older PS3 model but from my 2hrs of messing around w/ it it's definitely not doing anything noticeably bad. no loud noises, no excessive heat...no drama. its like twice the thickness of my PS2. good times

i'll just be picking up older games for a time being just to catch up on all the ones ive wanted to play but havent had a chance to :hs:
