Canada the country

nor do i? i go in, fill out the patient form, they scan my card and the bill goes right to the insurance company. i just pay my $10 copay
and it's not like people can't get help ... the emergency room cannot refuse a patient who needs assistance ... how you think all the illegals get their healthcare here? they go to the ER and then skip.

people that are unemployeed dont pay a $10 copay.
They pay that monthyl Kobra premium...what is it 4xx.xx per month?
and btw....I like Canada. They may seem a bit off but, they dont bitch about useless things like americans do. They live a more enjoyable, friendly, and humble life. I'm sure they have their ghettos but even then I cant picture what it looks like.
Then comes Medicare/Medicad that we as tax payers contribute too. Which is most likely the insurance of choice for immigrants.

correction: hospitals set aside xxx amount of money to cover uninsured patients. so dont believe that they're skipping out on a bill. Hospitals budget for this.

just because the hospital budgets for it doesnt mean it's not skipping. people knowingly walk in without insurance or the funds to pay for it and then leave ... thats skipping out on it since the hospital has to eat the bill
uhh noone was talking about the payment unemployed pay ... we were discussing what he pays vs what i pay
correction: if you partake in a service then bail without paying thats skipping out.......

hospitals budget and have insurance for this. They eventually get their money back one way or another.
Should anyone be denied medical treatment because you dont have money? Skipping out etc.. call it as you may but, they have a better chance of getting that money back if they help the patient.
