Default hanMD v. tinnitus

Alright, so my gf has barely been able to hear about of her ear since Sunday, and complains about feeling 'pressure' in it, especially when swallowing. Her throat hurts as well and she also hears loud ringing in that ear. Went to the DR's and he blamed it on acid reflux.

How accurate is this? Anyone else able to offer a semi-professional opinion or have experience with this?

:edit: Apparently I can't spell Tinnitus :squint:

That doesn't make sense to me.

But I'm not a doc.

No new meds, constant ringing. Said it started as a sore throat Sunday, then Monday her ear was 'itchy' all day, and Tuesday is when she lost her hearing and started getting the ringing..

sore throat would have been a strong indication for an infection also. A little penicillin or amoxicillin won't hurt nobody
