Though it sounds crazy it can happen.

I had a severe case of GERD and was getting sore throats for months, along with extra congestion and extra ear problems [of which I already have too many]

I'd put my money on an acute sinus infection (sore throat from PND and ear pressure from infection), though it's possible an underlying case of GERD could have caused this (wouldn't hurt to go get some prilosec OTC and try it out for a week before bed)

I usually wait about a week or so before going to the doctor, taking REAL sudafed (the stuff behind the counter) to help alleviate the pressure. That sudafed PE stuff just gets metabolized too fast to do jack shit... just make sure that she's not already taking it in some other combination drug.

In most cases waiting for me= more problems, but for normal people it'll usually work

 

Ill forward the info, thanks She's doin these steroid pill things for a few weeks right now but we'll see if that doesnt work..

Scary that she just up and loses her hearing :/
