I have an account that I hardly use. I recently befriended an aquantence of mine who tagged me (wasted) in like 40 pictures that I don't really want out there in the public domain. Is there any way to un-tag myself, or do I need to ask him to take all those pictures off?

I would just ignore the problem, but I DO use facebook to keep up with a few people who live out of the area and some family members who I don't want to see me flipping people off. Seems fucking lame that other people can put up whatever unflattering photo they want.
