I'm pretty sure Ahmedinejad lost. If he was confident, why the fix?

Although in the end of this i'm going with 97% Ahmedinejad is in power.

i'd be more worried about north korea shooting nukes at alaska, hawaii, and california.
I don't think this is about protesting Americans. It's about a generation of Iranian voters who feel their vote wasn't counted.

The possible directions this situation can take will effect much more then the election results in Iran.

Most of the time, when I've seen protesters, I haven't agreed with what they're protesting. This isn't one of those times. I hope those that suppose Mousavi keep it up. I don't believe Ahmedinejad cares about the Iranian people, just like I don't think Kim Jong cares about the Korean people. I think both of them are selfish and tyrannical and are looking after their own interests, not those of the people. Which is exactly why they need to be out of postions of power.

Despite my conservative roots, I agree 100% with the protests. Hell, I'd probably agree with riots at this point. Somethings got to be done about the Iranian situation.

yeah and If you see what I wrote. I said I am glad they are standing up and going out and protesting and everything. but in the end this guy will use his military power to put them down and sieze the election. i mean if they decide to revolt, more power to them. and i think the usa would go through their suppliers in egypt and other countries to help support these rebels. but really should america get involved to help see a "clean" election goes through?

they have a stubborn ruler who wants to develop nuclear bombs. no matter what talks we do, i think they will probably develop them in secret the way the north koreans have been doing. I don't see it as that bad if you can diplomatically talk to them to stop and get rid of the yellowcake.

but for isreal, i would be worried if i lived there, iran has been wanting to whipe them off the face of the earth for a while now.

welcome to the middle east? .... (well iran doesnt want to be bunched in with us as middle-east)

That whole area of the world, from morrocco to iraq, once a leader is in charge, nothing short of a revolution can bring him down.... and its becoming harder and harder to cause said revolution......

Unless the 10million or so protestors around the world, fly to iran, and place a leader they think can run the country there themselves, nothing will change....

even then, that new leader will try to remain in power for as long as he can... and they are back at square one...

president doesnt control the military ... the supreme leader does. so its not the president who is going to send the military to do anything
