asus fan here
got my coworker to get an asus 900. the keys are considreably smaller and will take some getting used to but i think the 1000 keys are more closer to a standard laptop layout if not the same. my philosophy is if you are getting a netbook for the size get the smallest one.
one more thing, i loaded ubuntu on it and it seemed to have some problems with full screen youtubes which speaks of its processing power

hmm... i've had bad experience with ASUS boards before... but to be honest im not worried about processing power...

the most will be probably XP, a couple of browser windows, MSN and some sort of Office application.

i don't want to go toooo small, screen and keyboard size need to at least be comfortable..... its not going to go into a pocket or a purse... its mostly likely going to reside on a shelf or mantle.

I have a dell mini 9 and it's fantastic. does everything you need regularly minus having a cd drive. Lets you surf, type office docs and "keep connected" youtube and fullscreen video work fine for me. I'm runnin ubuntu still. I think it's the intel atom, 2gb ram, 32gb ssd

great batterylife too.

Even though the trackpad buttons are in a rather weird arrangement, I'm still a fan of the HP 2133.
If you're going to spend any time typing on the thing, the HP's keyboard is much nicer to use.
