iPhone 3gS ... is it really worth it?
Man.. you guys should know by now. I'm getting them through Mar's Boeing account + live cashback.
2 x 3gs @ 199 each- 35% = 260 for the phones.
Selling my 8gb iphone 2Gfor 200 = 60 total cost for both phones.
Boeing's discount is 25% off att service prices. Because we don't use many minutes our bill comes out to 107/month.
Currently I'm paying 94-98/month w/ tmobile on reallllllllllly slow EDGE internet service.
Monthly difference of roughly 10 bucks with better/newest phone/and 3g internet service.
This is how TeamBOB rolls.

tethering is using your phone as a modem with your laptop ... ie: plug it into your laptop and start surfing the internet anywhere you can surf the internet on your phone...
At&T is not allowing Tethering and MMS is iffy too by the way.
All in all, the 3gs should have come out last year.... but its in apples business plan to not release a product with all features right away...
by the time i am able to afford the 3gs, the 4gsXtreme will be out and it will have the ability for speech-to-txt recognition, so you can tell the phone to tell your friend what you want via text instead of calling :chuckles:
its not a pda phone :wtc: im not really into this whole iphone this and that. but the apps store is what i find cool. there is a lot of cool stuff.
I gotta admit, when the iPhone first came out, I was a huuuge hater. But then I took the time to play with my friend's and I will now admit that it is a very cool machine. The interface is far and away the best of any cell phone on the market, it looks the nicest, and can do many things (via apps) that most other phones can't.
The only issue that I'm hesitant about is the ease of texting and using the e-keyboard. Given how quickly I can bust out text on a blackberry with tangible keys, I think using the on screen keyboard would be miserable for my large fingers.
