Looks cool, but I won't be buying it. I just sold my modded PSP on CL.

I no longer tour (at least not much), so a portable gaming system just collects dust now. I imagine it would be great for people that go on the road often.

Well, converting DVD's (I own) o: to mp4 is what I've been doing. Maybe the updates from Sony now allow it. I haven't updated it since I got it.

For Mac users, Handbrake is a really great app.

I haven't used my PSP's UMD drive in a year. :run:

Although there might not be backwards compatibility with new machines, the current machines do not need a UMD at all ... if modded. h:

I updated once because the game disc forced me to but I was playing mp4 files before that off the mem sticks. Not sure why it would be an issue, I'm not exactly the most geek by a long shot and I figured it out pretty quick.

I got mine probably a year after they had been out because the price on them dropped so the OS or bios may be different in some way.

Hmm.. I have the 2nd gen model. 1st gen is better when it comes to certain things. I've been wanting to use my location free, so when I find my charger, I'm going to updated to Sony's update and see what happens.
