Getting "unstuck" from a hole in life isn't something that happens instantly. Reset your expectations and take things in a phased approach.

It's best that you take an opportunity and run with it. At first, it might not exactly what you want ... but take the experience and build on it.

To the world, you're just one person... To one person, you are the world.

Good replies.

I do think that in one way or an other people are valued on how much of an impact they make on those around them. Either positivley or negativley. If you don't interact and try to make peoples human experience better, what is the point to all this then?

I can't even imagine how many people's lives I've changed. Any thought you can provoke within someone can alter their lives forever, whether good or bad.

Spent the first part of my life making negative impact in the world, so yes I have impacted many lives in this way.

Once I finally grew up and got my head out of my ass things moved forward for me. Do I worry about impacting lives? no not a bit I just live each day and do the things I know are right and if someone gains a positive experience from it then I have made an impact. Doesn't matter if I know I made an impact or not, I simply know that today I did what I felt was right and someone somewhere has to have noticed and benefited from it.

If you go through life trying to only succeed at all times you will only see the times you failed, if you simply go through life and do your best then success will follow

You're making an impact on your daughter's lives, no? Most likely a positive one (I hope!).

I've tried to be a good friend. I've been hanging out with the same crew more or less since I was 14 (some of us go back to elementary school). I don't think I've had a major life-altering influence on them, but I do feel like I've helped to keep the group together and minimize drama. I think I would be missed, but I don't think I ever drastically changed anyone's life... I dunno, I may be wrong. I just try to be there for my homies.

I know I've made an impact on friends lives one way or another. If I wasn't around any longer, I know these people would notice.
