I'd say spare mag just because of the overall size of a mag compared to another gun. what kind of gun are you talking about for a pocket gun? a 38 special? if you think you'll feel better having 2 guns ready to go at the same time do that up. I just know for me personally I'd just need the 1 gun and the mag its in for normal use. Now if we are talking the end of days and civilization is tumbling down, then I'm stopping by Dillion Percision and I'm mounting a gatling gun on top of my accord.

I agree with the spare mag idea. An extra 16 rounds of 9mm > 5 rounds of 38 +P, and should be easier to conceal and get at than an awkwardly shaped firearm. In my case it's an extra 15 rounds of .40.

People tell me to get a gun all the time, who need guns when I have appendages that act as deadly weapons.

if i was a cop i would carry a back up. probably a compact 9mm with my main being a full size 9mm.

i like the idea of a back up specially if risking your life for others safety is part of your job duties. I can't say anything bad about wanting to carry a back up as when I had my AR... I had two. One was a back up... you know in case the zombies attack and I didn't have time to reload my magazine h:

I actually considered (and am still considering) going with a G26 to complement my G19 since there is magazine compatibility but the J-frame conceals a bit easier in the pocket and is much lighter.

unless you are a cop a BUG is overkill and potentially a bad idea. your chances of needing your primary are low enough that the odds of needing a back up are incredibly slim. on top of that consider if you do get into a life threatening altercation. you may get prosecuted and you will be portrayed as a gun nut itching to kill. in the eyes of an ignorant jury the fact that you had two guns would pretty much seal your fate.

oh wait you carry a glock, yeah a BUG is probably a good idea
