Talk about uncomfortable
Stace and I went to the bank to sign the application papers for the new house and of course you need to disclose enough financial information to show that you can pay closing costs.
Well stupid me didn't transfer money from my savings into my checking and i was forced to disclose my savings account balance. Stace was writing everything down because I suck at handwriting.
Here is how the conversation went:
VP of Bank: You need to disclose enough bank account information to show you can pay closing costs
Stace: How much is in your checking account?
Me: About XXXX amount
Stace: That won't cover the closing costs, how much do you have in savings?
Me: Which one?
Stace: The one that has enough money to pay closing costs
Me: Well they all do
Stace: Give me one butthead
Me: Chase, 2XXXX

Stace: And how many of these accounts do you have that I don't know about?
Me: Yeah, I should have probably had that discussion with you before we came....

Why? Just curious. I have a credit card that my husband knows about, but has no access to so that I can buy him gifts and things like that but otherwise we know about all of each other's accounts...

he has 150k line of credit with a local bank as well that she doesnt really knows about. she knows he has a line of credit but doesnt know how much. i don't see it as a big deal, so he has some money stashed away thats not known to her ... its not like they are strapped for cash and he's running around with other women. just has some money stashed for stuff he wants to buy or anything that might happen, she just doesnt know he has it. it's not like if they had an emergency he wouldnt use it.

Completely unintentional.
I have worked since I was 10 saving up money and started trading stocks through my dad when I was 16. Went to the military and pretty much saved money as much as i could while I was there while still trading and such. After that I have been really lucky to have been with the employers that I have.
If you knew me personally you would know i am not a "toot your horn" kind of guy
