Did you hear that it's becoming a trend to have a Honeymoon registry where people can help pay for your honeymoon. NOW THAT is extremely tacky if you ask me.

i think the whole concept of registering for gifts is tacky and stupid ... no offense

i mean its a gift ... be appreciative that people took the time to get you something, especially in this economy. and if you dont wanna deal with unwanted or stupid items just ask that all gifts be in the form of cash or check. most people probably would prefer that, they dont have to go shopping, they dont have to hold on to receipts, they dont have to hope you like it. just take what you would have spent, stick it in a card and pass it to the front. win for all

On top of that they do not only give you a in store credit but also as cash.
so if you buy something at a store in canadia you can't return it?

Depends on the store... most big chain will take it back.

Isn't that the whole point of a registry? once the item has been purchsed it gets taken off the list.

I agree with the cash gift part... the problem is some people dont like giving cash :dunno:

yes and yes.

also some people want to give the people getting married something they can remember their wedding day by. i'm not just gonna give my cousin like $100 in cash for her wedding.

even if he did get them and wanted to keep them, who cares? he's not the one that bought them. i dont understand why you care what he puts on his registry.
and why are you offended by me saying 1K for knives is ridiculous?? I wasn't the only one pointing it out, I wasn't even the first one to point it out. Why single me out?
