Where are you grounding everything? Don't ground it to the metal backing of the seat. That would work, but its best to ground it directly to the body.

Try testing all the variables elsewhere.

This too. And grind the paint off of your grounding site, metal to metal.

hey, i posted already.

What are you running for a ground f/ the amps? also, what gauge wire? best place in a trunk is where the seats bolt to the body i've found....just grind it down first

Their is not many things that can cause speaker noise...

It would be like sending someone that works on their own car to a shop for a car turning over but not starting...

Nothing that complicated, but it has to be narrowed down. So we can isolate and fix the problem.

We have experts on here, and that is what this forum is for.

I didnt read the thread too carefully....so do this if it applies

Leave everything in place...swap amps. See if it is a problem with the amp itself.

I unskrewed one of the huge bolts under that back seat and grounded it there. then ran a 4g wire to a distribution block. From there both amps and cap are ground via distribution block with 8g wire.
