Philip Drummond was a widower and had a daughter, Kimberly. He was also quite wealthy and lived in the penthouse of a luxurious apartment building. His wealth was due to the fact that he was the president of Trans Allied, Inc.

However, the household was shaken up when Drummond's black housekeeper died and her deathbed wish was that he would take care of her two sons, Arnold and Willis Jackson. So, Drummond took both of them in and they became the sons Drummond never had.

Fuck that show. Fuck Webster, too. America couldn't watch Black children raised by Black parents on tv. Before the Cosby Show, all we had was Good Times, and they were dirt ass poor.

I grew up in a military family in the 50's and 60's.

My moms family was very rich, when she married my dad they shut her down. When I was born I was spoiled only from my grandparents hence why I got to fly down to NC almost every other weekend to see them. THey paid for me to go to elementary and hS.

Relative to the rest of the world, very rich.

Relative to the rest of the country, average.

middle-class although everyone assumed we were upper-middle / lower-rich because we owned a couple businesses in reality we had less than some people with regular 9-5 jobs because everything my dad made he put back into the business and didnt always draw a paycheck. we didnt do vacations and i def didnt get the stuff the other kids had but i never really cared.

now i'd say they are upper-middle, no debt ... 2 homes ... property ... half dozen vehicles and plenty of toys all paid for.

my grandparents had good amount of money but my aunt sucked it dry, there were some richies in the extendend family, aunts and uncles worth 7 figures. my cousin is in the 5-10 mil range now and he's younger than me (fuck inheritances)

me .... me i'm poor, but i get by and couldnt be happier
