Cant use any type of calculator on the exam.

Thanks guys, Ill try solving it through a matrix, never even thought of that.

Alright, lemme throw another one out there for ya'll, I promise last one:

x^3 - 3x^2 + 3x -1 = 0 Solve for x.

x(x+3)(x-1)
x=(-3),x=1

da fucks wrong with u all. this is nonsense. completely useless unless ur gonna be a math teacher. and even that job, i dont understand the importance of it when u get to crazy phd level shit.

Unfortunately it's useful to me.

I can't get out of fucking college until I pass it. h:

Second try on college algebra currently, and it is likely I'll have a 3rd go around this summer. :hs:

True, but I think its more a case of 'if you don't use it, you lose it'. When you get to college and are working on a degree that requires it, that "math" stuff actually makes sense instead of having to memorize it like I did in HS.

(a+b)^2 = a^2 + 2ab + b^2

you can easily square any number using that never used tho
