My brother and I have the assurance plan.. $6 month.. it was a requirement for him to get his phone (parents) and I added it when I renewed. I don't know if I want to keep it or not.. it's $72/yr for it and I think there's a $50 deductible to use it. Would have come in handy when my LG died.. eh.. haven't decided.

I would, but there are a few issues:

-My verizon isn't up until 7/16/09
-Where I live gets absolutely NO service

I just compared it and the iPhone is JUST barely cheaper than the Verizon, the refurb iPhone is only $100. The AT&T plan only does 200, 1500, 3000 text plans which is annoying...

I find it hard to believe that ATT gets no service in San Diego.

I get service in San Diego. But not at my house.

My house is anti-AT&T. Plus I would have to pay my contract break fee.

It would cost me the following to switch to AT&T:

$75 Early termination fee for Verizon
$99 for 8gb iPhone
$75/mo for AT&T plan
$36 activation fee (might see if I can get that waived at a store if I do go iPhone)

I am reading reviews on the Omnia and yes they are from 2008 (September time frame) but they are saying that the Omnia is a DAMN good phone and the iPhone is mostly due to hype.
