actually, my point was the following:

it's frustrating as hell when i or someone else creates a thread that criticizes some political action or agenda, whatever it may be, and it's almost immediately met with, "omfg, stop crying about it.. isn't there a forum for this? lib bashing again blah blah"

but nearly every time anything regarding religion is posted, it becomes a free for all, "brainwashing idiots.. sheep.. what good did religion ever do.. f- them.." and other such ignorant statements.

so what's the frustration? i can't post criticism lest i be crucified, but mindlessly trashing religion just goes on and on. it blows my mind.

 

My problem is that you isolated it to conservative bashing and democrats doing these sorts of thing rather than political bashing as a whole. You can't use half of an example when if suits your world view when the real truth is that both sides of the political spectrum resort to the same tactics.

I agree with you that there is a double standard here where religion bashing has become more acceptable on this board than political bashing, but at the same time, don't limit your argument to a specific bashing from one side of the political aisle.
