from my experience 7 days is a bit much for a place like bermuda - i mean are all you plan on doing is sitting on the beach the whole time or you want to do other things. bermuda is like another island but it is pretty small - a few golf courses - pretty small central "city" type area with shops/bars/tourist stuff.

That's where I would have gone if I could afford it.
Instead we went to Playa Del Carmen (near Cancun). We liked it. Playa Del Carmen is much nicer than Cancun and it's in a nice central location so you can take a quick cab ride up to Cancun if you want or hop a ferry over to Cozumel. We loved it.
