Default electric shavers?

I have a gift card for sears and I was thinking of getting an electric shaver. I've tried them in the past (the kind with a straight foil) and they always left a few hairs behind. I have a pretty gnarly beard and thick hairs. So I was thinking of the kind with the three round foils. I assume this technology must've gotten better in the 10 years or so since I last used electric. My budget is $50, which leaves me with:

http://www.sears.com/shc/s/p_10153_1...4256000P?mv=rr for $51

or

http://www.sears.com/shc/s/p_10153_1...auty&cName=Men for $40

Thoughts?

It's either that, or get one of these for my rampant body hair

i never liked those triple round foil ones. they always seem to irritate my skin.

i prefer the straight foil ones.

my hair grain is inconsistent, which is why I think I never got a good shave with the straight kind. :dunno:

:edit: and I'm pretty sure any type of shaver will irritate my skin. Even a straight razor and hot foam irritates my neck. :/

I could never use them.

They end up eating the shit out of my neck area. Save your money on something else

Electric shavers suck. I have spent a couple 100 on top shavers, and they never work good for me. Always leave rash, and never get all the hair.

Well I tried the tool department for sander/polishers, and pretty much everything in my price range blows.

Elec. razors feel terrible on my face. I've tried several kinds and it still hurts. I stick with my Mach3.
