Yeah, antibacterial agents (except for alcohol) have been proven to increase the chance of antibiotic resistance for resident bacteria. I try to limit how much antibacterial stuff I use.
bleach is even better...but I wouldn't use it on your skin :chuckles:
Peroxide acts as an antibacterial by introducing free radicals in the form of a single O (oxygen) ion to bacteria which don't have oxidase to neutralize it like we do. That's why it's also used as a mouthwash. Alcohol works by denaturing proteins in the cell wall of bacteria and dissolving lipids which goofs the bacteria up big time. Both are fine to use. But yeah, I'd probably go to the doctor if you've got pus oozing out and it hurts.
What I'm always recommending is moisturizing soap/body wash that has the added benefit of being antibacterial.
And it's the shit, theshit. Period.
Hmm....maybe that is true. If that is indeed the only antibacterial substance you're ever talking about, you still talk about it all the time. haha Apparently, I only remember the word "antibacterial" and don't pay attention to the rest. Therefore, you are always talking about antibacterial things. Slightly flawed logic, but I don't care.
