when that happens at home my dad replants them in a portable pot, keeps them inside during the winter and then replants them outside when the time is right... he looks hilarious with huge pots inside the sun room moving them around so they get sunlight and stuff.

That's what my plumeria book says I should do. :hs: To put them in the garage during winter. I just don't have a garage to store them in.

Are you trimming out dead branches?
Watering it?
Any chance the soil is acidic?

really depends on how big and old they are. my father-in-law has a ton of plumerias, and he never brings them in the house (and they live in carlsbad where it's a bit colder than here).

i haven't trimmed it at all, but i haven't noticed many dead branches. i am watering it, though we've had a lot of rain recently so i haven't in maybe 2 weeks. and i have no idea how the soil is. i do plan on testing it.

this is what the leaves are doing:

Thanks for that. One doesn't seem to get any bigger than when I got it. The other one has gone from about 3 feet to about 6 feet, and I've cut a few branches off and repotted them for gifts. It's amazing how much it's grown. I'm kinda proud of them. They're the only thing I really took with me when I got divorced. :hs:
