Default Absolute Truth

Do you believe in absolute truth? Relativism? Is whats right or wrong for me, right or wrong for you?

This could turn into a deep discussion, just curious on peoples take.

I'm pretty sure people believing in absolute truth caused most of the wars humans have ever known.

This can get good. I cant say that I do simply because we live in different cultures and have been taught different values since day one (including morals/ethics/religious beliefs) but there has to be moderation...but who judges that? Its a slippery slope. I.E. murder, rape. Each culture has different definitions of each.

Moral nihlism comes into play as well. I will post more of what I think later this evening...time to leave work and head to school.

Not I. I think good and bad both come in shades, and while there are some things that are clearly right or wrong (i.e. acts of selflessness, murder, etc) most of the stuff we do and most of the decisions we have to make on a daily basis lie somewhere closer to the middle. There are obviously moral dillemas and situations where what is the right thing to do is not cut and dry. If we dealt in moral absolutes, we could just "consult the handbook" and make a decision.
