Dude, put it back on Non-HD. Go change the HD settings like I said above in the Xbox Settings, and then try again. Like I said, start on 480p. Move up from there.
I have seen that exact thing on many xbox's. Your resolution is just set wrong.
It might just be the cables, don't they have HDMI cables for xbox, I'd just get that A) because they are better, and B) because I'm too lazy to google anything else up right now

your TV doesn't look like an HDTV, is it an EDTV? if so set it to 480P there were a few sets, esp older ones, that had components that were just 480i and used them for color separation
