Default Official Work Boot thread

I ain't posting in no sneaker thread. I made a stop today an old skool shoe store today for some new boots. The dude was a little passionate about shoes but he hooked me up with some nice fitting Carolinas. Total damage $160

I need some new ones and am thinking I am just gonna pony out the dough for a set of Whites this time around.

Currently I have a pair of Rocky boots which have been great for the last 2+ years now but they are getting pretty worn out and aren't rebuildable.

I used a pair of catepillars when I was at ups. Did the job and protected my toes. they weren't steel toes though.

Steel toed boots are something I will never buy again. I wear mine in varying conditions and once they get cold they don't warm up...it caused frostbite on my toes one time and that was the end of steel toed boots for me because that shit hurts

steel toes only if you're lifting stuff that requires them... otherwise I stick with rubberized or plain leather, the rubber ones are good in the winter for what I do, leather are just nice

See that makes sense.

There was a lot of debate about the true safety of steel toes. The consensus was that although the smashing of toes was a bad thing, the possibility of the steel plate chopping them off was greater.

I used them everyday for 2+ years and it was fine. Bought them for like 40 bucks I think.

I have a pair of Keens for the snow, which I wear to work when it is snowy outside. My work however consists of sitting at a desk. Hmm.
