Obligatory dickhead cop story
h:i find this humorous and thats the only reason i share it
so i just get home ... pull into my place and grab the hand brake so i can slide the rear around and back up. its easier than making a 8 point turn due to snow banks tightening the area i have to turn in.
well across the road is a cop car dealing with a traffic accident between two old men. the guys partner gets out of his car, walks across the road and proceeds to tell me the following:
"if i wasnt in a good mood i'd arrest you right now"
"why sir"
"for that move you just pulled, thats wreckless driving and instant jail"
"sir this is private property, you cant arrest me for spinning tires on private property"
"that doesnt matter to me, i can still arrest you for it"
i just told him thanks for the info and started laughing as i walked away. dude was just hilarious dick. i mean if he wants to argue about it thats fine, i have a legal lease showing that building and the parking lot are mine for the next 10 years. if he wants to arrest me and take me to court that would have been hilarious.
now seriously, i'm interested. can a cop arrest you for doing what effectively can be described as a donut on private property that you can prove yourself to be the legal owner of? because thats news to me. as far as i know the majority of "road" laws were null when it came to private property :dunno:
so when you were out jumping dunes and racing with your truck back in the day ... you could have gotten a ticket / arrested?
or say john was out with his truck wheelin and happened to do a donut in a pile of mud ... he can be arrested?
if thats the case you can go to jail for starting and sitting in a vehicle thats not plated yet still on your property
i mean this isnt a fuck that cop thread ... i'm genuinely interested in what legal backing he would have to arrest someone for doing these things on private property

should have pulled a gun out on him shot him in the arm and yelled "no trespassing bitch"
