completely different
Y2K= bunch of retards claiming all electronics will fail because they don't know how computers work

current problem= closely resembles past events in other countries

Doesn't mean it will happen but the parallels are disconcerting.

I hear you. Independent of the apparent differences, the common denominator still seems to be "hype", though. Just seems like a lot of scare tactics and foreshadowing.
