Managment figures your're so happy to have a job you won't mind the extra work.
Wouldn't that be the case anyway? No one in their right mind would be upset about a greater workload after surviving a layoff.

another survivor checking in, my company back in November laid off alot of their admin people as well as some area managers. thankfully my department is very safe as we are all positioned in insurance companies and they don't want us to lose our presence there. things could be worse, Hertz just laid off 4000 people, but of course their managment team sucks.
