Congrats my friend, I am not sure I will be so lucky when it hits my area. They say they aren't doing any reductions and keeping headcount where it is but they talk of restructuring. Seeing as I'm a consultant I'm not in a safe area like my counterparts.

Surviving layoffs is sometimes not a good thing
Alot of times it means more of a workload even though theres been a "slowdown"

Managment figures your're so happy to have a job you won't mind the extra work.

Glad you made it dogg!

Congrats, but send your condolences to those you know who lost theirs.

My company laid off and that's happening, not happy at all.

I've gotten laid off twice now, but survived this time around..

We lost some people, so we're gonna have to play catch up.

That's what happened to us at work...the remaining employees got really screwed over having to pick up the slack. :a:

Laying people off was one of the hardest things I had to do as an employer. It was easier for me to fire someone...mainly because they were a screw up and I had documentation.
