Came in here to say that, but I want to add +sour grapes to the mix as well. If you're salary and have allotted time off, then you've already earned your right to take any day off as long as it doesn't conflict with the imperative needs of the company.

Federal Holiday, I work for the Air Force, I have it off. Paid 3 day weekend FTW.

 

My dad works in downtown DC. Normally his company takes President's Day as a holiday, but they're trading it for inauguration day since it'll be pretty much impossible to get to the office.

 

i'll be working.

 

Its my normal day off so I'll be watching

 

I'll be at work, not giving a shit as usual.

 

Anyone who is going to Washington for the inauguration is fucking retarded.

A) You wont see shit, you'll just stand in a crowd and freeze your balls off
B) Washington is a deathtrap for traffic, metro will be packed beyond capacity, so basically you have no way of getting where you're trying to go other than walking.
C) They're closing off major roads, bridges across the Potomac, just to add to B.
D) Every hotel between Baltimore and Richmond is fucking booked
E) Like you're helping accomplish something by creating headaches for DC police and secret service
F) You want to help your country? Go do your fucking job.
G) You'll get a much better view from your couch. tivo that shit.
