Default 2nd time is a charm........

just when i get my Xbox live subscription from amazon and register it...
i got the stoopid RRoD again..............
its scary how the MS phone reps are so casual about it when you call in to report it....
has anyone tried to fix this on their own? and not using the wrap the towel around it and have a fire extinguisher handy method..
been reading about a re-soldering and adjusting the CPU and GPU to make better contact to the motherboard..

uhh why would you even consider breaking the case on something that still has a valid warranty if all you want to do is repair it back to factory specs?

send it in, let them fix it. you break that seal you never getting help on it again from MS

That sucks but I know what you mean about them being casual about it. I'm sure they are trained to not agree with it being a mass issue. I got mine back in about 2 weeks from them. A friend of mine is on his 4th console, hopefully mine doesn't break again.

my roommate bought a rrod'd 360 on ebay and thought he could fix it himself and get a cheap 360. after two weeks of fuckin' around with it, he sold it on ebay and made $20 :chuckles:
