Burning DVD question...should be simple?
OK, I am leaving the country tomorrow and trying to make some room on my laptop hard drive for all the photos/video I'll be shooting.
Since I am a photojournalist, I shoot a lot of assignments. I normally make a "to burn" folder after I am done shooting and then burn a batch of DVDs when the hard drive gets kind of full.
Now I put what I need to burn onto my external hard drive and have started to burn. But it's taking way too long.
I can burn DVDs straight from my external harddrive right? Will it take longer to do so? I figure I can just burn when I get back from that.
Thanks!

It might have a LITTLE lag due to the transfer through the USB/firewire, but I wouldn't imagine that much.
I know with my computer at home I have a trial version of Roxio so it burns DVD's at like 1.33x instead of 16x (booo).

Put DVDs in a pile, pour on a little lighter fluid and throw a lit match onto the pile, that should burn the DvDs...
