I totally agree with grampafunk. Why would we want to create clones???? I think I could see cloning organs for transplants but entire humans is just not the why nature is intended to be.
I don't know how i feel about cloning. They say cloning will help women who can not have kids, be able to have one. I wouldn't want a baby modeled after another person...
I just have a very nonchalant view on cloning

What I don't see is why cloning is wrong. For all intensive purposes a clone is exactly the same thing as a twin. The only difference is the method of conception. Are we worried that eventually people will just clone themselves to procreate instead of having real babies, so we'll have removed evolution from the equation?
What I don't like is the casual attitude that's being taken towards genetic modification. Things like growing bigger, healtier, and more disease resistant crops from genetic modification is simply too easy to do. Catastrophic accidents could happen which would decimate our food supply. Even breeding cattle is sketchy, because it makes them more suceptable to disease through the commonality of their genes. They should apply the same regulations to altering foods as they to do altering human genes.

i think they should have the right to do whatever they want. if u dont like it,dont get cloned. if the govt doesnt like cloning, dont give them money to clone. just because u believe something is morally wrong doesnt mean someelse does.
I think a lot of people are against cloning because they somehow believe that it will be exactly the same person. And it won't. There are so many environmental, social, and developmental factors that your clone might not even LOOK like the original.. They will be predisposed to all your same problems/traits, but there's no telling if they'll end up exactly the same physically. They definately won't be like the original psychologically.
No, a clone could never have the same personality. But wouldn't it be nice to have an exact duplicate of yourself in case you got into a wreck or something?
Lost an arm? No problem, just take your clone's arm!
Got a big zit on your nose before a big date? No problem--just borrow your clone's nose!...
