anyone here went/going to grad school?
if so, what for?
I am doing EE for the last 4 years(on and off) and the thesis portion is kicking my butt. Its 47 pages long and I have to present infront of professor(s) today. Very nervious.

Did grad work at RIT in Computer Engineering
Doing my PhD at University of Rochester for Biomedical Engineering
-- Don't be nervous man. At 47 pages hopefully you know what you're talking about (and probably more than the professors).

I wanted to get into Biomedical Engineering... how do you like that field
sweet! I did my undergad in BE and my grad at EE with BE emphasis. Noway I can do phd lol
For example, some areas of research/industry related to EE:
1. Signal Processing and Control Systems for physiological applications
2. Medical Imaging
3. Nanoscale materials + devices
It gives you an edge because you end up with a strong physical science background to complement your technical background.
Right now I'm rotating through a lab that deals with auditory processing in rabbits. I'm dealing more with filters and MATLAB than the physiological stuff but its all good.
