I had a couple of Dell laptops and they all broke due to overheating problems. Most of them were Latitudes

werd ive had my xps for over 2 years now with no problems what so ever.

hours of fapping with the laptop on the lap can cause overheating

ive had to fix one but then again, i've had to fix ibms that people sackride for the same heating issue.

I'm on my 4th year on the 700m. The screen is slowly developing dead pixels, the audio cable from the main-board to the speakers is shot (common problem) and the CPU cooling fan crapped out on me.

Other than those minor inconveniences, it's held up longer than I expected.
