Didn't have time to read above posts so maybe it's already been said, but I'd just get some new rims if that happened to me (seems like a lot of money to save one rim) Like getting a set w/ tires and everything online.

Well, I'd actually rock a donut on the rear for quite a while, save up or just wait for tax refund, then I'd get new rims :baller:

Exactly. I've been dealing with this store for a decade. NEVER an issue. Not saying I shouldn't have googled it before, but I didn't feel the need because I've gone in there after doing research on other things, and they've never steered me wrong.
Thing is, why buy an entire new set of rims? To me that's throwing more money away then just fixing/replacing one. I actually found a company selling one or four of what I need/have on eBay. So, after I go to the store this morning to :wtf: them, deciding on what they do, I have that as a backup. I've already bought new tires to fit these rims so I'm not going through the hassle of possibly needing to order new tires, restock fee, etc. And FUCK the idea of new rims. Eff that noise. I have more important things that my money needs to go to. I have three out of four that are fine. And hey. Now I have a slightly effed up donut.

Dunno....you thought enough of them to ask if it was a fair price here. :dunno:

Personally, I research everything. I just don't trust businesses like that.

Because they were handling the transaction for another shop. They were sending it off to people that fix rims. They weren't doing it themselves.

If this was a fairly new import shop, I would have done more homework... but they've been around for 40 years. Like Ali said, they've earned my trust tenfold in the past. I've been dealing directly with the owner since I was 18 years old. I'm almost 30. You have to understand something, it's rare that I can go into a car parts store and get the assumption or respect that I know what I'm talking about because I have tits. This guy has never been like that. He listened to me, and understood that I have some knowledge. It's a simple fix. I know if I go to the owner and just chat with him and tell him I'm not paying $220 to fix a $120 rim, he'll take care of it and find me a new one.

I see where you're coming from and didn't mean to insult. my apologies. it's reasons like this that i don't trust any shops though. you may know the owner like a brother, but his $6 / hr employees are a different story. Hopefully he fires their asses and stuff like this doesn't happen again.

No insult taken. Just showing my perspective. Exactly. I blame the kids who were in charge of the store that day. That's why I'm not gonna go there and flip my shit. No point. Just talk to Dennis and it's aaaaall gravy.
