when i was a tech, my hook up was $40 to straighten a 3 finger size bend. we normally would charge $75 for that. didnt include refinish though.

I'm really kinda irked, feel like I got played a little by my shop, which isn't cool. I've been going to these guys for years. But this is one of the only times I haven't dealt directly with the owner. Dropped off the rim yesterday to get straightened. They called me today, and told me that the pothole damage is so bad, that the rim would need to be refinished because there would be burn marks and tracks from the machine left on the finish. Quoting me an additional $100 bucks. They also told me I could no longer get that actual rim when I was deciding whether or not to get it straightened. While on the phone I told him I wanted to make sure the rim was no longer available and he said he'd have to call me back after doing some "research". Just found a couple sites that offer the rim online for 5 bucks more then getting the thing straightened (not even refinished) Really pissed. Never got treated like this before at this shop before. May have to have a little chat with the owner. :angry: Civil, of course.

if i were you, i'd buy an extra or 2 now knowing that wheels get damaged.

 

I don't see the fail when you trusted those who have successfully earned your trust. Only the burn.

I might be thinking FUCK spending any more money on those rims. o:
