my buddy (best friend since childhood) is going through tough times right now with his wife and doesn't want to deal with it since they've talked about getting a divorce. I want to be there giving him support but he doesn't want to do anything else but alcohol/drugs.

i felt bad leaving him at the hotel last night . what would you do for a buddy in a situation like this?

unfortunately, those words won't get to him at the moment

 

what would i do? i would NOT give him alcohol and drugs. take him out for a mini-road trip with u and some of the close homies. like a weekend camping trip or something.

whatever u guys do, just stay away from any vices. no gambling, alcohol, drugs, etc. all those vices will all fuck with ur emotions and itll just make him more unstable and fucked in the head. the small high he gets at the moment, will bring him down lower and harder than before he did those things. go hiking. go watch a game. go work on a project car. go fix up a house.

i'm not the one providing him with the drugs, can't really stop him either.

guy been on shiet since last night, i dropped by and bought him some food earlier but then took off again. He's calling me to party it up with him tonight.

wished i could just get him off from it and go somewhere, but he's not willing to do anything else.
