I just had all 4 wisdom teeth pulled with just local pain shots, and after listening to my wife and every one say that the pain afterwards would be terrible, i was waiting for the pain to come. I never felt a single ounce of pain throug the whole experience and to the doctor litteraly had all 4 teeth pulled in about 5 minutes. Im guessing that since all mine were out it made things better. But yea every one is baffled that I suffered no discomfort, I only took 2 of the hyrocodine presribed to me and didnt need anything else. The worse part for me was the sound, just here it rip out of mouth was kinda nasty

before i got my braces when i was 13, they pulled 5 teeth in the span of 2 days. that was fun. then i've had 3 of my wisdom teeth pulled in the last few years. nothing special as long as they use a lot of novacaine

i had all four of my impacted wisdom teeth pulled at once. i was knocked out w/ IV anesthesia. the operation lasted about an hour and a half

swelling didnt reeeally occur until the day after. thats when it started gettin huge. things were extra not-so-good after the anesthesia was out my system. recover was slow. had to eat, well actually drink, all my food using a spoon and somehow getting it in my mouth

after two weeks things were fairly normal except my lower left jaw got re-infected, mostly b/c the hole created from the extraction was so huge they had to re-open the area (aka cut it open) and let the fluid drain and gave me a higher dose of antibiotics and a different mouth rinse

things were pretty much back to fully normal about a 5-6 weeks later

if you only have one tooth thats not impacted i really wouldnt worry. i think i had worst-case scenario
