60GB is long gone. I think it was discontinued over a year ago. :hs: On my 60, I can play PSOne and PS2 originals with no issues due to the emotion chip.

Today's 80GB PS3 will NOT play PS2 games anymore. However, it will play PSOne titles. The last 80GB model that was PS2 emulation enabled was the MGS version.

Epoch just picked up that MGS bundle, you have to be really lucky, I think craigslist would be your best bet.

:werd:

if it's any consolation, the new 80gb runs much cooler (personally verified) and apparently quieter (can't hear mine except for when the BD's spin up, so it might be true). you will also only get 2 USB ports, and no memory card slots. i think SACD support was also dropped in this version. but aside from the SACD, i don't miss the other stuff.

Best bet is what andrew posted about the Dell deal.

The amazon deal is good, but the movies they offer doesn't make it worth it, unless you get several copies of the same movie and sell them on the side to bring your costs down even more.

I jumped on this deal when it was $100 off $300. The credit came to me about 5 days after I made the purchase. (I was watching the website like a hawk)

so could you just use it for the 150 off and then pay it off and cancel the card?
