Personal preference, usually. Alot of lefties prefer the mossberg beacuse of the placement of the safety lever.

thats more of the sketch part, a bunch of thug gansta types were all about that. the guys selling them seemed perfectly normal. yeah it was my first gun show, I thought it was a pretty fun time. lots of cool fun stuff. my buddy got a 30rd clip for his ruger 9mm. the clip actually fits 34.:chuckles:

Careful about overloading...that causes jams and FTF or FTE situations that can get sketchy at times.

Remington is a bigger name. A lot of people don't know anything about mossberg but have heard the name remington. So they buy what they've heard of.

i prefer my remington over my mossberg any day ... i like my mossberg but i just think the remington is a much better feel in my hands.

and i dont know if i'd say most people know remington > mossberg ... maybe the population in general but i'd say people in the hunting fold def know of the quality of mossberg

not to mention, the 870 is a much more popular law enforcement weapon and as such the availability of already customized used units out there makes it a much more popular choice. The us army still uses the mossberg but has begun switching over to the benilli m4

I love my mossberg, and it was pretty darn cheap too. $250, and it came with 2 barrels.

Thanks. Yeah, I can't wait to shoot it. I want to get a scope for it, now.

Acog 4x would be nice. h:
Yeah, that's probably not going to happen. lol

not to be demeaning ... but i never understood the whole buying a shotgun with 2 different barrels thing

to me it's a pain in the ass to swap barrels, i'd just rather buy two guns :dunno:

then again i have no problem having shotguns that have a singular purpose ie 1 for home defense, one for clays, one for ducks

Choke will tighten the pattern but a 28" gun is still mighty unwieldy in close quarters.
