i have two externals right now. both are no more than 150gb. one is very sketchy and doesn't really turn on sometimes. the second one works fine, but i'm really paranoid about losing all of my stuff on it. the reason i have the second one was to back up the first one and i'm glad i did.

both that i have now are internal hdd's that i bought and put in cases. i think i want to stay away from that and just get a pre-built external.

i don't need more than 250gb, because the things that i want to backup only total to about 100gb and i don't want to spend that much money.

i want it to plug into a seperate power source, i don't want just a usb powered thang.

does all that make sense?
