i tried plugging the hdd that doesn't load up all the time into my other case, it didn't make a difference.

i don't know why but taking a hdd and putting it in a case that i bought just seems sketchy to me. but a tb for $104 is pretty good. that maxtor isn't bad either.

both of my externals are hdd's that i bought and put in cases. i guess i've never really had a problem them, just the one that died, but i don't think that was the cases fault.
