If you aren't joking than I would say your shit is different. Mine is painful to touch (like a pimple) but there's no visible skin inflammation or color change. Its all fairly deep. No itchiness. One of us is going to go the doctor, probably me since Jon doesn't have insurance.

You have lymph nodes in your armpit (as well as groin, neck, abdomen, etc) that handle infections for your body. They're like mini-tonsils scattered all around your body. If they encounter a virus or other infection, they will attempt to absorb it, and thus they get swollen like your tonsils when you get sick.

Swollen lymph nodes, if that is the cause, could be caused by any infection in your body. If he gave you antibiotics, and it didn't help, you could have a viral infection of some sort.

Of course I'm not a doctor, and I'm armchairing this without even seeing it or wanting to see it. It's just an idea :dunno:

If the doc gave you oral antibiotics and it didn't kill a bacterial infection in your body, well, it probably isn't that.

 

The worst part was they left it open to breathe.
