They're hurting badly, but their stock is still the strongest among the office suppliers (Office Max, Office Depot).
Whenever a company wants to save money, their first penny pinching measure is to cut back on supplies. Even the "going green" initiative is destroying copy paper and printer toner profits (about 50% of all incoming monies are from those departments). Customers aren't just ordering as much as they used to. This is really tearing into Staples profits.
Also, Staples charges a premium on most supplies. It's hard to compete against the EDLP (everyday low price) of Wal-Mart.

There's a terrific opening with RIM, the OS developers of Blackberry. I'd love to get in on that because the experience would be worth so much.

drinking some beer. I went to a high end beer place and got a selection of Dogfish Head http://www.dogfish.com/
I got their 120 minute IPA, Raison D'Etre, Raison D'Extra, Black and Blue, Chateau Jiahu, and 90 minute IPA.
The 120 and Raison D'Extra are around 20% alcohol. The rest are around 8%.
I am drinking those and getting in the hot tub. Should be a good night

dogfish head is very good beer. some of their stuff is pretty strong tho so I would make sure you know what you are drinking before you pound one...lol
but then again if you find it at a bar and you pay $15 for a 12oz bottle I doubt you will pound it.
