you have to understand the marine corps is the smallest branch of the military therefore we get the least amount of funding. within that the infantry is the smallest occupational field but we have the toughest job. we get gear we cant even use or just plain suck. i barely have enough room on my flak for three mag pouches and two grenade pouches. i have to jerry rig my first aid kit on. and that's the minimum loadout.

Apparently my old neighbor is working on a donor plan to get a few million for gear and gear ONLY for the troops. Mind you this kid seemed to be all talk, but it sounded like an awesome plan. He was going to buy all the equipment and send it to the bases that needed it.

Sorry for your loss, but what if we don't donate and someone gets killed because they don't have the gear they need? This is not supporting war, this is supporting the safety of our troops....there IS a difference.
