I dunno. I'd imagine it will come back up but who knows. My uncle is a financial advisor and told me to invest earlier this year, stating that markets often come up during election years. Needless to say, I'm glad I didn't heed that advice.

At least energy prices will drop a bit. I'm in the market for a new car too. It's amazing how many nice cars are going up cheap right now in my area. I'm gonna wait it out, maybe even get a better deal.

 

its a good time to invest now if you are gonna leave it in there 5 years. its not a good time if you want short term because of the volatility. even a sound company can go down for no reason.

wow, this thread died quickly

started trading on updown (virtual $1M portfolio)to learn, but have been keeping track of a few stocks for a few years :shhh:

Started Monday, invested only 1/3rd, then was fully invested on Tues. Up 12% overall (actually 13% but the site hasn't updated one of my stocks, which ended at about 34 cents higher than what the site says)
