Default HAN Finance Crew: v.Bros

Earnings annoucements are coming up fast, the current market is a train wreck, market confidence have been raped, and idiots are pulling money out of their checking accounts at their local banks (the whole $500! shoop da woop!).

This thread will be updated daily by HAN finance savvy members and ask for hints/tips here.

Today's Forecast (10/06/2008): There will be blood

market confidence is shot to shit and the DOW is already down over 3%

My current plan is to stay away from big name stocks such as AAPL

we're horribly oversold in the short term and i'm waiting for the market's reaction to the upcoming earnings...aka this will NOT end well. I'm hoping there are some surprises to boost confidence back into the market.

sell if the company is underperforming and not due to market panic. keep if all fundamentals are there and wait it out.

I am not even going to bother checking my stocks anymore. There's no point in stressing myself out over the current conditions since I am in it for the long term anyway. This happens every 10 or so years anyway to balance things out.

no not yet, invest in some low risk stocks right now depending on how long you'll be playing in the market. I'd stay away from the market movers (AAPL, Citigroup, etc)

I'm gonna hold my cash tight until after quarterly/annual earnings reports
